AGREEMENT BETWEEN (THE SELLER) AND THE CUSTOMER (THE BUYER).

Joiners

Under no circumstances should you book a joiner/carpenter/fitter/decorator prior to receiving and checking your complete order.

Checking your goods

Every effort is made to supply you with the correct door in perfect condition. However, on occasion, errors are made or a product may not be up to standard. It is imperative that you check your doors for any potential faults prior to commencing any alterations. Should your goods be delivered, it will be necessary to check them for any visible damage or faults before signing a delivery/consignment note, should there be any discrepancies, the word “Damaged” must be written on the driver’s notes. Any polythene wrapping on a suspect item must not be removed until the matter is resolved. Please retain any pallets or packing should a return be required.

WE CANNOT REPLACE OR MAKE A REFUND FOR A FAULTY DOOR IF ANY ALTERATIONS HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT. THIS IS WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

Claused Signatures

No liability whatsoever will be taken by Doors R Us Ltd. or our chosen carrier when a clearly signed POD (Proof of Delivery) note has been obtained and the words “not checked” or “unexamined” (or words to the same effect) shall not render the company liable for any shortage or damage subsequently discovered.

Standard items (Items ordered in at request of the customer)

Any delivery or collection dates quoted are approximate only and Doors R Us Ltd. is not liable for any delay in delivery of goods however caused.

Returns/Carriage

Goods are inspected by our staff before dispatch, should a customer arrange their own transport, they do so at their own risk, we cannot be held responsible for goods in transit, other than for carriers contracted to us. You must arrange and pay the cost of insuring and returning the good to us, or at your request we can collect the goods and deduct the delivery and return cost from the refund.

Special Order Items

Doors should be stored flat in a ventilated area away from new plaster or concrete. It is recommended that doors are not reduced by more than 6mm from any edge. Do not fit mortice locks in rail joints. Under no circumstances should any door be finished with water based solutions as severe damage can occur. Minor swelling and shrinking of wood parts is not a defect within the meaning of this limited warranty, but it is a normal characteristic of wood that may occur with variation in climatic and atmospheric conditions such as humidity and temperature. Warp in the plane of the door itself will be considered a defect only if it exceeds 6mm when measured as deviation from a straight edge on the suspected concave surface of the door in its installed position.
